National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
In honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the OPC reaffirms our commitment to continue to learn more, do more and engage more with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action. As leaders in public education, we all have a responsibility to Indigenous students, families and communities to foster educational spaces and opportunities that are inclusive and honour the contributions of Indigenous peoples. How did you mark and honour this day with your school community? Share your actions with our OPC community on X @OPCouncil.

Quote to Ponder
“Together, Canadians must do more than just talk about reconciliation; we must learn how to practise reconciliation in our everyday lives—within ourselves and our families, and in our communities, governments, places of worship, schools, and workplaces. To do so constructively, Canadians must remain committed to the ongoing work of establishing and maintaining respectful relationships.” – The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada
