This May 1^st we celebrate National Principal’s Day,  we acknowledge the valuable work performed by our principals and vice-principals. It is a day to recognize the contributions you make as front-line leaders who interact daily with students, staff, parents and community members. At the OPC, we know you strive each day to create safe, positive and inclusive learning environments for students, and mentoring opportunities for staff. 

To thank you and publicly acknowledge your work, we will be highlighting the day and profiling some of our Members on our social media platforms on Friday April 30, 2021 using #NationalPVPDay, and in an ad in the Toronto Star on Saturday May 1, 2021. 

Being a principal or vice-principal can be the most challenging and the most rewarding role in education. The influence you have extends beyond the walls of a classroom or school building.  We are proud that each of you plays a key role in the success of Ontario’s world-class public education system.  

As the voluntary, professional association representing over 5,400 practising principals and vice-principals in elementary and secondary schools across Ontario's publicly funded system, the OPC celebrates and supports this day in recognition of our outstanding membership.
