Migration from X
As issues continue to escalate around the owner of X, formerly Twitter, including those related to his affiliation with or support of groups opposing EDI initiatives, the 2SLGBTQQIA+ community and other underserved communities, we have made the decision to decrease our presence off the social media platform X. We know that a number of school boards, companies and associations have made the same decision.
We now have an account on BlueSky with the same handle – @OPCouncil. This platform is the most similar to X, so people used to X should find it easy to navigate and use. We also maintain a presence on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. While we expect it will take some time to build up a strong following, we believe moving away from X is the right decision at this time. We encourage you to keep up with topical news and announcements by following us on Bluesky.
